Never again will Urhobo produce a sleeping senator, Chief Ede Dafinone has assured his Constituents.
Speaking at Imode, yesterday, while addressing All Progressives Congress, APC, Jeremi ward 2 members on the occasion of inauguration of canvassers for the purpose of mobilizing votes for the party in the general elections, Chief Ede Dafinone said Deputy Senate President and Delta APC Governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has shown the road and raised the bar on performance of persons who are to represent Delta central senatorial district in the red Chambers of the National Assembly and promised to improve on that when elected senator.
“I am going to improve on the performance of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege. Never again will Urhobo have a sleeping senator. Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is going to Government House, Asaba to set record so that no governor will go there and sleep again. Senator Omo-Agege is a fit personality for the governor of Delta State judged by his performance in the senate of the federal republic of Nigeria in his track record of providing the needs of the people before they ask.”
He said throughout the ward to ward campaigns across Delta central senatorial district, the people were enthused and impressed by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s provision of Street lights and transformers and that scored him high in the rating of the people.
He called for support for all candidates of the APC including Rt Hon Francis Waive who he said needed to be returned to the lower house of the National Assembly to become a ranking federal lawmaker.
Ede Dafinone said on his personal efforts, he has been carrying out women empowerment and skills acquisition schemes for which over 2000 women have benefited.
As an industrialist, exporter, trustee of the Okpe Union, former chairman of Manufacturing Association of Nigeria, MAN, export group Lagos, recognized by Guinness Book of Records as member of English Institute of Chattered Accountants, 6th board member and Chairman for the African board of the English Institute of Chattered Accountants, he said what is important is that he is going to the senate to use his wealth of experience to work for his people and elevate the Urhobo nation to occupy it’s rightful position of prominence and make Urhobo great again.
Director of Communications and Media Strategy of Delta APC Campaign Council and member, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Olorogun Ima Niboro who was also present told the people to be committed to the task of electing all candidates of APC in the elections.
Earlier on, Chairman of Jeremi ward 2, Chief Stanley Inaba said the candidacy of Chief Ede Dafinone was a square peg in a square hole and pledged full support for Ede Dafinone victory at the polls.
Highlight of the event was the inauguration of 102 canvassers who were charged to go all out to convert every indigene of Jeremi ward 2 to become APC member.
Director General of Ede Dafinone campaign organization and Delta central senatorial district Chairman of APC, Olorogun Adelabu Bodjor, a lawyer who conducted the inauguration told the canvassers that they would be appropriately rewarded for their hard work and success of APC at the polls.
