A 14 man executive committee has been inuagurated for the ancient Agbarha Warri Community of Edjeba in Warri South Local Government Area.
The inuaguration took place at the ultra modern community town hall on Sunday, 26th June, 2022.
Comrade Ejiro Ibuakevwe , Comrade Rocky Aboribo , Hon Patrick Oghonemu were inaugurated as Oghwuvwie ( President ) , Akarohor ( Secretary General ) , Otota ( spokesman) respectively and eleven others by the Unuovwodo traditional representative of the Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom ) High Chief Michael Cashier Ikpuri ( JP).
High Chief Ikpuri in his speech during the inauguration, charged the new executive committee to sustain the existing peace and to attract investors to the area.
Ikpuri also urged the Ibuakevwe led executive committee to imbibe the principle of transparency in their administration.
He noted that their appointment was on merit and congratulated them.
Comrade Ibuakevwe in his acceptance speech on behalf of other executive committee members, expressed appreciation to the chiefs and elders of Edjeba , the host community of DBS , Government House Annex , SPDC Head Office . Chevron Clinic and College of Education for their appointment.
He promised not to disappoint the community and also promised to improve on the achievements of his predecessor.
Ibuakevwe further promised to operate an open system of administration where he said everybody will be carried along.
The new Oghwuvwie of Edjeba Community who is also a member of the prestigious Agbarha Warri League, however solicited for the support, prayers and cooperation of the people of the community in the discharge of his duties.
High point of the occasion, was the inauguration of the new executive committee by High Chief Michael Cashier Ikpuri (JP).
Ibuakevwe spoke to our correspondent in an exclusive media chat.
He noted that his appointment was a call to serve and that task before him was enormous .
Ibuakevwe assured that he and his colleagues were focus and fully ready for the job ” because we know the needs of the people ” he added.
