The Chairman National Population Commission ( NPC ) Hon Nasir Isa Kwarra has sought for support and assistance from Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on the upgrading of Enumeration Area Demarcation ( EAD ) exercise in Udu, Warri South, Isoko North and Ukwani local government areas.

The request was contained in a letter to the governor which was made available to Spy News.

While appreciating Governor Okowa for his support and assistance in the previous phases of the exercise in the state, the National Chairman of NPC , stated that the commission was counting on governor Okowa in ensuring that the upgrading of the exercise was one hundred percent successful in the selected local government areas .

The areas of support and assistance needed by the commission were : sensitisation and mobilization of the populace , security and safety of NPC personnel and materials, augmentation and support for NPC field officials accommodation among others.

Hon Kwarra assured that NPC functionaries for the exercise were properly kitted and trained on measures aimed at curbing the spread of the dreaded covid 19 pandemic.
