The Rotary Club of Effurun City Centre under District 9141 inducted five members on Tuesday 1st March, 2022
The newly inducted Rotarians were: Frank Inweh, Godwin Imonrunu Iruafemi, Kesiena Ese, Yemisi Ajayi, and Florence Adeniran
The Charter President of Rotary Club of Effurun City Centre, Rotarian Patrick Ighomrore JP in his key note address at the induction ceremony charged the inductees on the seven major areas of focus of the club by impacting more on communities.
He encouraged the newly inducted rotarians to be “charitable rotarians” and not transactional rotarians.
Ighomrore explained that as a charitable rotarian ” We are committed to creating supportive environments .
“Whatever you do should be done with love and care unlike the transactional rotarians who always want a reward for whatever he or she does . Rotary is not so ” he added .
Ighomrore futher explained that Rotary been a charitable club ” you need to keep demonstrating that service to humanity is important
“It is in this regard that I am charging these people that are inducted today to be good ambassadors of this club, and work in good faith, love and integrity to achieve their aim of becoming Rotarians for this is our divine mandate,” he added.
The inductees were officially inducted into the club and decorated by the Assistant Governor, Zone 17, district 9141 Rotarian Suala Yeri.
While inducting the new members, he commended the club for the membership growth just as he advised the new members to make their presence felt in their community .
” Being a rotarian is a plus to us because Rotary is international and accepted both locally and international, therefore as rotarians we can fellowship and participate in Rotary activities in any part of the world’ he stated
Present at the induction ceremony was the president of Rotary Club of Effurun, Rotarian Michael Enehizena PHF.
In his brief speech, he charged the inductees to contribute more to the Rotary foundation which is the financial arm of the organization.
