A total of 278 candidates of Delta State origin have been physically screened in the ongoing Police recruitment taking place at the Cenotaph, Asaba.
The exercise commenced on February 1st and will continue tomorrow, Monday, February 7th when it will be the turn of Patani, Sapele and Udu local government areas.
A release issued by the PPRO of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe quoted the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali urging applicants who missed their scheduled date to also come up for the exercise and those who were yet to appear to also take advantage of the physical/credentials screening exercise.
Applicants screened so far came from 15 LGAs namely:
Aniocha North – 11
Aniocha South – 9
Bomadi – 20
Burutu – 24
Ethiope East – 22
Ethiope West – 23
Ika North East – 39
Ika South – 31
Isoko North – 17
Isoko south – 13
Ndokwa East – 16
Ndokwa West – 31
Okpe – 11
Oshimili North – 3
Oshimili South – 8
Candidates from Ughelli North and South have thus far not presented themselves for the exercise as indicated by the release.
