Prophet Abel Okwori

This is the sermon delivered by Prophet Abel Okwori during church service last Sunday, December 5, titled, ‘Know the Truth’
“Anointing is the only power that breaks the yoke, it brings blessing and it is like a snake that sheds it’s skin and is renewed. It is difficult to get true anointing now. It is not the sort that is aided by other powers.
“A young pastor got anointing from a native doctor. He asked his church members to come with handkerchief and commanded everyone to throw up their handkerchiefs. He too, threw up his own which has been anointed with magic. As they threw fire came out of the handkerchief of the pastor, but at one throw when the glow had left the handkerchief it mixed with others and he couldn’t identify the special handkerchief, somebody picked it, and he lost it.
That is how his anointing ended.
“Elijah was a prophet of God who had true anointing and bequeathed same to Elisha.
“Know the true God
“God is not a chameleon, He does not change, He remains the same and hence he is described as Alpha and Omega. He is a consuming fire . No God created the heavens before him and that is why He is the supreme and true God.
“Know the truth, many people use many powers and claim God called them. Some use charm to attract and do whatsoever, claiming they were called by God and hence you need to know the Truth that as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God.
“A truthful man of God would speak in tongues and interpret it. John 1:1which says, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, emphasizes the point to show that the word is Jesus
And John 14:6 further clarifies when Jesus said he is the Truth, the light and life and nobody goes to the father except through him. But many people go to acquire powers outside Jesus to make their way, and these do not last.
“Nobody wants to hear the word of God any more, all they are interested in is prosperity, you will buy a car, build a house, …..
“Two young men came here one day, God opened my eyes to tell them what their problems were but one of them stood up saying he does not see God in the church because the church floor is not tiled, the church has no air conditioner (AC), and I have no car.
“In Romans 8: 1-2, the bible says, Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
“You need to be completed and to know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free and no one can condemn you.
“A truthful man of God cannot be widely accepted by the world, would not partake in things of the world.
“Two persons can go to the same church and while one who believed the Truth receives salvation the other may not.
“When you know the truth you would be afraid to commit sin and hence the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
Jer 9:23-24 and Jer 10:11warn of the vanity of not knowing God
This is what the Lord says:
“Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom
or the strong man boast of his strength
or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this:
that he understands and knows me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,”
declares the Lord. Jer (9:23-24)
“Tell them this: ‘These gods, who did not make the heavens and the earth, will perish from the earth and from under the heavens. (Jer 10:11)
“Your progress may be delayed but the process is in progress.
“Pray in that line against what stands on your way to knowing the Truth. And in prayer nail every Spirit of deception and lying to the Cross according to the word of God in Colossians 2:14”
