The CP who was assisted by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration DCP Tokunbo Afolabi, while presenting the cheques noted that the ” welfare of both serving and late officers is part of the interest of the Inspector General of Police,” and it’s on his behalf that these cheques were presented to them.
He also appreciated the gesture by the IGP as the cheques will in no small way act as a boost to the families and also a way of letting them know that though their loved ones are no more, the Force did not forget their sacrifices.
