Delta Central Progressive Forum (DCPF), a political pressure group has reiterated it’s support to the DC-23 led by Senator Ighoyota Amori and the Urhobo agenda.
The National Chairman of DCPF, Prince Ochuko Mejire made the declaration during their strategic meeting at the country home of the chairman of the group’s Ethiope West local government chapter ,High Chief Omonigho Ogbakpah.
While addressing the forum, the leaders stated that the DC-23 lobby group led by Amori is the best political pressure group ever with an Urhobo agenda and appealed to other pressure groups in Delta Central under the aegis of the Peoples Democratic Party to support the DC-23.
Assuring that the group will partner with DC-23, DCPF noted that what Chief Amori was doing now is similar to how late Chief Mukoro Mowoe stood for Urhobo cause in the early 50s before Independence.
“DC-23 is not different from the G-3 of the Delta South Senatorial District that was formed to drive the process of election of the immediate past governor of the state, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, and the Anioma Agenda that was formed in 2014 to propel the process of election of the current governor of the state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.” Prince Mejire said.
High Chief Omonigho Ogbakpah who hosted the strategic meeting commended members of the group for their unity and commitment towards the growth of DCPF.
Early on, Prince Ochuko Mejire commended High Chief Ogbakpah for hosting the meeting, and appealed to all the local government areas representatives to continue canvassing for more members and also plan how they can inaugurate the group in the wards level.
