* Pledges adequate representation

Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) screening for aspirants, Edo State House of Assembly hopeful; Monday Osayomwanbor Bello on Tuesday, met with the Executives and delegates of Oredo Local Government Area to solicit support.

The screening is scheduled for Friday, April 22, 2022.

He was accompanied and presented by his Ward 5 (Oredo East) leaders who took their turns to speak highly of him before the LGA leaders.

Bello who is a successful businessman and School proprietor was described by Party faithful as a very committed member since he joined the Party with Governor Godwin Obaseki.

He pledged to respect and abide by the Party’s rules and ideology; as well deliver on the Gov. Obaseki’s administration’s MEGA mantra of good governance.

The State’s House of Assembly hopeful also pledged to among other things; initiate and sponsor bills and legislations that will bring about even development and protection of the rights and privileges of the people of his constituency, and Edo people.

Highlighting some of the key projects of Governor Godwin Obaseki which he asserts were evident in public institutions revitalisation, Bello vows not to betray both the Governor and the Party while giving his constituency adequate representation.

“Some of our elected legislators have in the recent past betrayed our hard working Governor most of whom are from the same Oredo with the him.

“Instead of listening to the opinions of Oredo people, they took selfish decisions and up till now never function to represent the people that elected them.

“Affliction will not return. I am proud of our Governor and bold to say that he is one of the very best Governors we have ever had in Edo and will continue to support him.

“I am available to serve and I solicit for the support of delegates in my constituency and party leaders, to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming House of Assembly elections.”

Some of the leaders from other Wards besides Bello’s Ward who were present, appealed to leaders in both the LGA and State to consider the aspirant; as the round peg in the round hole as far as the political office he seeks is concerned.

He is tested, trusted and highly responsible enough to be entrusted with his constuency’s representative powers, they said.
